On 4
June 2010 Greece, issued the new
law (No. 3851/2010) for
renewable energies.
The new law should create
conditions to achieve the
objectives
for the year 2020
set by the European Union.
In additions new action plans
has been decided to encourage
households and industry.
Furthermore, the licensing regime for the supply of electricity from renewable
energy sources has been made
easier and faster.
The government's target for
electricity generation from
photovoltaic systems for the
year 2014 has been set to 1500 MW and 2200 MW
for 2020.
